We are adept in the traditional methods of model making and 3-D pantographs and our craftspeople take personal pride in the exact replication of your work. We also are well versed in enlarging and reducing using the latest developments in digitizing and 3D computer programs, laser scanning and milled foam.
Mold Making
We can mold anything, of any size and with any surface detail. From a tiny fingerprint to a full size reproduction of a dinosaur, we have made a successful mold of it. Our molds are expertly designed in type and material to fit the needs and requirements of your project. We can create molds in your studio or in our foundry.
Sand Casting
Our automated sand mixing system allows us to mix 300 lbs of sand per minute, and with our 2400-pound bronze pour capacity we are able to produce large and economical castings. We use environmentally responsible binders and our sand is reclaimed and reused.
The careful and innovative molding staff at Polich Tallix is able to reproduce any surface or texture. Sand casting can capture incredible detail, resulting in high surface quality economically. We will cast from both rigid and semi-rigid pattern materials, and have produced successfully in stone, leaves, wood, foam, and plastilene among others.
Lost Wax Casting
We cast in 316 Stainless Steel, Silicon Bronze, Aluminum and precious metals such as gold and silver.
Our gating team collaborates closely with the foundry to determine the runner system that will best cast your sculpture, considering not only the metal being poured, but also the formal elements that make your sculpture distinct. Our patented Quikcast method makes us the best ceramic shell facility in the northeast. With 2400 lbs pour capacity and jumbo autoclave measuring 6’ in diameter; our casting capabilities are three times larger than the industry standard.
